Intermodal Logistics Coordinator Overview:

The Intermodal Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain processes within our organization. This role involves coordinating personnel and operational procedures to ensure the efficient distribution of goods across various channels. The objective is to facilitate seamless operations while maximizing productivity and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee account management, including quoting and booking shipments, providing customer service, tracking orders, and finalizing transactions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Implement strategies for margin enhancement through effective management practices.
  • Monitor compliance with customer volume expectations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and spot quote requests.
  • Be available for after-hours support to resolve operational issues.
  • Follow up on any delivery delays or security concerns.
  • Complete all audit requirements and ensure documentation is properly scanned into the Transportation Management System (TMS) prior to dispatch.
  • Ensure timely closure of all orders in the TMS within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Collect Proof of Delivery (POD) from carriers within 48 hours for any missing documents.
  • Obtain approval for any additional charges from customers within 48 hours and ensure documentation is scanned into the TMS.
  • Communicate Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs) effectively to customers to facilitate timely delivery appointments and manage storage fees.
  • Verify that carriers are qualified in both the TMS and Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new carriers and customers.
  • Execute tasks with urgency and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the TMS and CP portal are consistently updated.
  • Ensure effective communication among team members to maintain operational coverage during absences.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Must be bilingual.
