About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Technical Lead to join our team at Wipro Technologies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of technical releases, driving process improvements, and contributing to the development of a release technical governance regime.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Release Scope Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of release scopes, ensuring that all technical governance processes are followed.
  2. Support Management of Scope Changes: Collaborate with stakeholders to manage scope changes, critical path, risk, and dependency tracking.
  3. Release Quality Test Coverage: Develop and implement strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage as part of technical assessments.
  4. Release Technical Reviews: Participate in technical reviews, ensuring that all technical governance processes are followed.
  5. Management, Assessment, and Tracking of Scope Changes: Oversee the management, assessment, and tracking of scope changes, critical path, risk, and dependencies.
  6. Release Planning: Provide feedback from scope reviews, technical reviews, and support tracking of actions from these meetings.
  7. Support Management of Scope Changes: Collaborate with stakeholders to manage scope changes, critical path, risk, and dependency tracking.
  8. Documentation of Technical Notes: Document technical notes for each story against projects and domains.
  9. Daily SIT Release Execution: Track all technical critical path, risks, impacts, and dependencies.
  10. Support War Rooms: Support war rooms for regression-related defects owned by Release and Quality teams.
  11. Review Changes in Committed Scope: Review changes in committed scope.
  12. Attend Daily Release Stand-Ups: Attend daily release stand-ups.
  13. Release Pre-Production & Staging: Support incident management, tracking all technical critical path, risks, impacts, and dependencies.
  14. War Room Management of Technical Issues: Manage war rooms for technical issues.
  15. Review Deployment Plans: Review deployment plans and support drive-through meetings.
  16. Support Peer Review: Support peer review with Release Deployment Specialist of the runbook.
  17. Production Deployment: Support morning of release go-live (when required).
  18. Track, Manage, and Support Incident Discussions: Track, manage, and support incident discussions during the warranty period where applicable.
  19. Review Deployment Plans: Review deployment plans and support drive-through meetings.
  20. Support Peer Review: Support peer review with Release Deployment Specialist of the runbook.
  21. Process Improvements: Contribute to process improvements.
  22. Release Technical Governance Regime: Contribute to setting up a release technical governance regime.
  23. Initiatives: Involve, support, contribute, and manage initiatives where the release management team is owning or participating.
  24. Attend Team Stand-Ups: Attend team stand-ups.
  25. Support Leadership Calls: Support leadership calls, reporting technical risks in releases and technical dependencies and conflicts in BSS WEST.
