About the Job

Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies that promote social inclusion, equity, and access to recreational programs for participants of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead workshops and training sessions on accessible recreation practices, promoting best practices and sharing knowledge among recreation staff.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improvement in program accessibility and develop recommendations for enhancement.
  • Pilot-test new programs and services, gathering feedback from participants and staff to inform future programming.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, or Special Education.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with children/youth in recreational settings, including those with special needs, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in policy development, program evaluation, and staff training in accessible recreation practices.
