About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Assistant to join our team at 2580737 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using various types of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, and bulldozers.
  • Assist in Construction: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide Support: Instruct apprentices, assist medical examiners, and help with various tasks on the construction site.
  • Operate Specialized Equipment: Use mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials, and operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth.
  • Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate cranes, and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Remove Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will work outdoors in a construction site environment.
  • Work Setting: The role will involve working on construction sites, which may require working at heights and in confined spaces.
