About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Assistant to join our team at 2580737 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Heavy Equipment: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials, and clean and lubricate cranes.
  • Construction Site Operations: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Site Safety and Maintenance: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work under pressure, demonstrate hand-eye coordination, and participate in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language and Work Environment: English language proficiency; work outdoors in a construction site environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
