Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofing Helper to assist our experienced roofing team in completing construction projects. As a Roofing Helper, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, operating mobile and tower cranes, and performing various tasks to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
  • Clean and lubricate cranes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Instruct apprentices in various construction tasks.
  • Assist medical examiners in charge as needed.
  • Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Operate dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits at open pit mines.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hand-eye coordination and physical stamina required for manual labor.
  • Reliable, accurate, dependable, flexible, and a team player.
Work Environment

Work must be completed at the physical location, with no option to work remotely. The work site environment is outdoors, and the work setting is a construction site.
