Job Title: Dishwasher and Kitchen Support Staff

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Dishwasher and Kitchen Support Staff at West Coast Grill Sooke. This is a seasonal position with 30-40 hours of work per week, requiring no degree, certificate or diploma, but willingness to train.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, and flatware, as well as other kitchen items. They will also assist with tasks such as loading buspans and trays, operating dishwashers, placing dishes in storage areas, and replenishing condiments and supplies. Additionally, they will help with preparing and heating simple food items, serving customers, and stocking refrigerators and salad bars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware, as well as other kitchen items
  • Assist with tasks such as loading buspans and trays, operating dishwashers, and placing dishes in storage areas
  • Replenish condiments and supplies, as needed
  • Prepare and heat simple food items, under the supervision of senior staff members
  • Serve customers, either at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring that all products are fresh and up-to-date
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial. The successful candidate must be able to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and multitask efficiently. They must also have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
