Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced facilitator to join its Anti-Racism Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the organization's commitment to advance inclusion and cultural safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) training programs that promote cultural safety and address specific training needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver training programs that improve the competencies of the VCH workforce.
  • Work with the Leadership Development team and other stakeholders to lead the organization in promoting inclusive and culturally safe services.
  • Provide support to address EDI training needs and develop guidelines, policies, and systems to promote EDI and cultural safety.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • A Master's degree in Adult Learning or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in counselling, coaching, mentoring, training, conflict resolution, and facilitation.
  • Experience in applying a trauma-informed approach to learning and development.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism issues in BC and Canada.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive and mutually beneficial intercultural relationships.
  • Ability to lead, problem-solve, and utilize team-building skills.
