About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Security Specialist to join our team at Sun Life Financial. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for working with application and identity owners to remediate identity security issues detected by our security monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remediate Digital Identity Security Risks: Identify and remediate digital identity security risks identified by our security monitoring tools to ensure the integrity of our systems and data.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with teams to support other IAM platforms and prevent or automate remediation for identity risks detected by our monitoring tools or other security vulnerability findings.
  • Develop Technical Specs: Write technical specifications for identity security solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
  • Requirements: A university degree or college diploma in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience, and/or 5+ years of experience in the security IT industry. Industry-recognized Information Security designations, such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM, are an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Active Directory, Linux, and developing/maintaining automation for application security tasks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively across technical teams, security engineering teams, and IAM teams by providing context for decisions and challenging assumptions.
