At Amazon, we're committed to delivering the highest standards of safety and security for our customers. As a Data Center Security Specialist, you'll play a critical role in driving operational security excellence in our control room setting. Your vigilance will drive a culture of quality, support, and proactive identification of physical security vulnerabilities for remediation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support daily operations of Data Centers/Colo environments by completing virtual security tasks involving security systems and access control.
  2. Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction development of performance metrics.
  3. Lead security investigations across campus facilities.
  4. May be tasked with working different work shifts consisting of Day, Evening, Overnight, and weekend shifts.
  5. 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance.
  6. 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  7. Familiarity with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a control room setting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Associates degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience in corporate or government security environment.
  2. 2+ years of experience writing detailed reports.
  3. 2+ years of working in a security related field with electronic security systems.
  4. 2+ years of root-cause analysis experience.
  5. Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.
  6. Ability to interpret program objectives, develop project schedules and manage adherence to established timetables.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and policies.
