Data Security Specialist

As a Data Center Security Specialist, you'll play a critical role in driving operational security excellence in our control room setting. Your vigilance will drive a culture of quality, support, and proactive identification of physical security vulnerabilities for remediation.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily operations of Data Centers/Colo environments by completing virtual security tasks involving security systems and access control.
- Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction development of performance metrics.
- Lead security investigations across campus facilities.
- May be tasked with working different work shifts consisting of Day, Evening, Overnight, and weekend shifts.
- 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance.
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a control room setting environment.
- Associates degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience in corporate or government security environment.
- 2+ years of experience writing detailed reports.
- 2+ years of working in a security related field with electronic security systems.
- 2+ years of root-cause analysis experience.
- Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.
- Ability to interpret program objectives, develop project schedules and manage adherence to established timetables.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and policies.
