Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Fraser Canyon Hospital.
About the RoleThis Temporary Full-Time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a rural setting, providing emergency nursing care to patients in need. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will assess, plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
About the LocationHope, BC, is a picturesque town surrounded by majestic mountains and breathtaking views. Our hospital provides a range of services, including emergency, medical, and hospice care, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy outdoor activities and a close-knit community.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary ranging from $41.42 to $59.52 per hour, based on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive benefits, including four weeks of vacation time, comprehensive health insurance, and a pension plan.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to determine their needs and develop a care plan.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient condition.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One year's recent experience providing emergency nursing care in an acute/rural hospital setting.
- Current certificate in CPR.
