Job Summary

The Store Operations Leader is a key position at Walmart Canada Corp, responsible for driving profitable sales and ensuring excellent customer service. This role plays an active part in the management of store operations, team development, and community engagement.

About the Role
  • As a member of the Store Management Team, you will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals through effective budget management, sales forecasts, and analysis of sales/financial reports. You will also identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures.
  • You will create operational plans, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Your focus will be on maintaining optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and adherence to Company standards.
  • This role requires you to execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls, maintain quality assurance standards, and ensure compliance with Walmart policies and procedures. You will also anticipate and proactively respond to compliance issues, including Total Loss control.
  • You will serve as a customer ambassador, greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Your involvement in store initiatives to serve the community will include participating in community events and developing relationships with key community groups. You will participate in company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to emphasize the store's role in the community.
  • You will lead Associates by conducting regular store meetings, communicating operational direction, and initiatives. You will drive engagement, recognize accomplishments, and provide opportunities for professional growth, identifying high-potential associates and providing training and development.
  • You will demonstrate Company values by holding Associates accountable through timely, honest, specific, and respectful performance feedback and corrective action. You will build and manage relationships with supporting functions within the store and district.
  • You will supervise Assistant Managers in day-to-day operations and adapt to constant changes in the technological landscape of the retail environment. You will oversee the effective implementation of digital applications in the store, handle training of the management team on new OMNI processes, and meet customer requirements.

What We Offer
