Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to support our community programs
  • Develop and implement volunteer engagement strategies to increase participation and retention
  • Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and communication
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on volunteer hours, engagement, and feedback
  • Develop and implement promotional materials to attract new volunteers
  • Provide exceptional customer service to volunteers, staff, and community members
Requirements
  • High school diploma and minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and volunteer management software
  • Food Safe, CPR, and First Aid certification an asset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Experience working with volunteers and community outreach programs
  • Knowledge of The Salvation Army's programs and services
