Senior Transient Sales Executive

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Transient Sales Executive to join our team at EightSix Network. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business transient revenue within specific transient segments. Your primary objective will be to uncover opportunities and drive transient production by identifying and developing strong business transient relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve transient revenue goals by responding to incoming group/catering opportunities for the property that are within the pre-defined budgeted transient mix.
* Understand the overall market and know how to sell against competitors.
* Achieve transient revenue goals by actively and proactively soliciting individuals within specific transient segments.
* Secure the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.
* Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
* Achieve transient revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity.
* Partner with Area Sales, Account Sales, and GSO to identify transient business and achieve revenue goals.
* Develop transient sales revenue, operation budgets, and provide forecasting reports.
* Work with the management team to create and implement a transient sales/marketing plan addressing revenue, customers, and market.
* Assist with selling, implementation, and follow-through of transient sales promotions.
* Attend post check-out feedback sessions to understand transient needs, obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels, and overall satisfaction.
* Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover to Event Management as applicable by segment.
* Execute and support Marriott's Customer Service Standards and hotel's Brand Standards.
* Conduct walk-throughs and site inspections, as required.
* Monitor same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control hotel occupancy.
* Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked.
* Participate in and practice daily service basics of the brand.
* Verify that the property implements a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering high level of service.
* Monitor the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to property leadership and/or other appropriate stakeholders.
* Verify successful performance by increasing revenues, controlling expenses, and providing a return on investment for the owner and Marriott International.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED; 4 years' experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
* OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years' experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
* Preferred: 4-year college degree
* Previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality and sales discipline
* Experience selling leisure, transient or special corporate business
