Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pricing Strategist to join our team and support the growth of our Fintech businesses (Dealertrack & CMS). As a Pricing Strategist, you will be responsible for analyzing pricing trends, conducting analytics, and developing pricing recommendations to ensure profitable delivery of corporate growth objectives and market competitiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. You will collaborate with Finance, Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to develop pricing architecture, strategy, and execution plans, and serve as the Subject Matter Expert in setting the level of pricing and offers necessary to attain profitable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend pricing and packaging models based on product roadmap and strategic priorities to deliver short, medium, and long-term revenue growth plans.
- Conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and execute a vision for a pricing and packaging strategy that ensures profitable delivery of corporate growth objectives and market competitiveness.
- Develop insights, identify and evaluate pricing/offer opportunities, and focus on continual improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of pricing/offer portfolio.
- Define the process for establishing pricing for our products and educate the organization on this process.
- Challenge the existing pricing structure and propose new and innovative ideas.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Product daily, provide support where needed, and know how to persuade your ideas.
- Support Sales in deal structuring and pricing strategy for strategic accounts through Deal Desk.
- Provide ongoing summary reports and executive presentations to the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience, with 5-years in pricing strategy or revenue management.
- Experience implementing packaging strategies.
- University Degree.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met or exceeded.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Able to work effectively within a team, listen, and persuade others.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (experience with Power BI considered a plus).
