Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Western Restaurant Franchises Inc. O/A A & W Restaurant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations and staff performance.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with security and safety procedures.
    • Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
    • Basic security clearance.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
