Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at RED CHILLI RESTAURANT INC. As a key member of our kitchen operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff: Lead and direct the activities of our food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen helpers, to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to our food service staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Estimate and Manage Food and Supplies: Conduct regular inventory checks and estimate food and supply requirements to ensure we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Manage Budget and Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports on food costs, inventory, and sales, and manage the budget for food and supplies.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns, and take steps to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain Records and Reports: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare regular reports for management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Setting: Restaurant
  • Supervision: 5-10 people
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, team player
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year, permanent position, 30-40 hours per week
