Assistant Director, Talent & Culture

As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to join our Talent & Culture team as an Assistant Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Department Leaders and Senior Managers to develop and implement employee learning and development programs
  • Support the Director, Talent & Culture in managing the Talent & Culture operation, including employee relations, compensation and benefits management, and workers compensation
  • Develop and implement action plans to address employee feedback and performance management issues
  • Work closely with our Manager, Learning & Development to assess, develop, and track company and brand-specific orientation programs and training programs
  • Identify high potentials and develop succession plans to ensure the continued growth and success of our organization
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment
  • Experience running talent development programs and implementing strategic HR initiatives
  • Collaborative style, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident presenter and skilled facilitator
  • University/College degree in a related discipline, such as Human Resources or Business Administration
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $85,000 - $90,000 gross annually, based on experience and education
