Psiatrist, Sea to Sky

Job Summary:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team in the Sea to Sky corridor. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide a wide range of outpatient psychiatric services, including consultative, short-term, and longitudinal services. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to patients with persistent and serious mental illness, mood and anxiety disorders, personality and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient psychiatric services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatric nurses, clinical counselors, occupational and vocational therapists, outreach workers, and peer support workers
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) Desired
