As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including sample collection, testing, and result analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process laboratory samples from patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, adhering to established protocols and quality control measures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including test results and quality control data.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities, including instrument maintenance and calibration.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
- One year recent related experience in the designated discipline within the last six years, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and to analyze data and results.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing, walking, and lifting.
