Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Maintenance Specialist to join our team at RTJ Landscaping. As a key member of our outdoor horticulture team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Tie and secure plants, ensuring they are properly anchored and secure.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Rake and collect refuse, including leaves and other debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor spaces.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to create new lawns and gardens.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Remove trees and other vegetation as needed.
Work Environment

As a Landscape Maintenance Specialist, you will work outdoors in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties. You will be exposed to the elements, including sun, rain, and extreme temperatures.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
