About the Role

Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Administrator for Inclusive Education - Interior to join our team. As a key member of our Inclusive Education department, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs and promoting a culture of inclusivity within our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school administrators to promote mission, vision, and values, and contribute to the success of the division.
  • Provide professional development for teachers and school administrators on topics related to supporting students through Inclusive Education.
  • Hire and assign Inclusive Education Case Managers/Teachers and Learning Support Coaches.
  • Offer support, training, and leadership to Inclusive Education Case Managers/Teachers and Learning Support Coaches.
  • Work with the Registrar to interview prospective families and admit Inclusive Education students.
  • Collaborate with K-9 Regional Administrators on intake for students with learning needs.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships between parents, teachers, and education assistants within school-wide, regional, and Inclusive Education departments.
  • Support regional Learning Groups activities, including Community Connections and CC+s.
  • Lead regional Student at Risk Teams.
  • Assist in coordinating category designation applications and reviews.
  • Manage financial approvals related to Inclusive Education student support plans and regional budgets.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to the KCCS Foundational Beliefs.
  • Current BC Certified teacher with Inclusive Education specialty and experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year HCOS Inclusive Education experience.
  • Familiarity with HCOS Inclusive Education systems.
  • Knowledge of the BC Ministry's Special Education Categories.
  • Ability to manage change and adapt to varied workloads.
  • Excellent conflict management, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, systems thinking, relationship, and solution-oriented.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Competitive wage $45.05 - $50.31.
