**1‑ Full Time‑ Educator & Quality Lead**
**Regional Paediatrics**
Reporting to the Coordinator, Regional Paediatrics & Transport, The Educator and Quality Lead, Regional
Paediatrics and Transport reports directly to the Coordinator, Regional Paediatrics and Transport. Under the
guidance of the Coordinator, the Educator and Quality Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the
education curriculum and training in relation to inter‑facility transport. The Educator and Quality Lead is also
responsible for developing and delivering education and supporting virtual consultation to regional hospitals and
remote communities in NW Ontario.
In collaboration with the Coordinator, the Educator and Quality Lead will be responsible for ensuring that all transport
equipment is maintained to standard, and that that all operational protocols are kept up to date and followed. The
Educator and Quality Lead will develop and maintain quality improvement initiatives including holding run reviews
and facilitating debriefs. The Educator and Quality Lead is also responsible for reviewing data that is submitted to the
provincial transport database and will ensure data quality is maintained.
The Educator and Quality Lead is a liaison and will be responsible for collaborating with provincial hospital based
paediatric and neonatal educators as well as emergency medical ground and air transport educators.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- Unencumbered registration holding a current license with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Masters of Science in Nursing is an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development in paediatric and neonatal
nursing
Skills/Abilities:
- Current clinical experience in aeromedical transport
- Current experience in paediatric and neonatal nursing with a minimum of 5 years experience with demonstrated
excellence in nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation
Program (NRP), Emergency Nursing Paediatric Course (ENPC) certification, and certification in stabilization and
pre‑transport of Neonates (S.T.A.B.L.E or ACoRN) is preferred
- Theoretical and practical experience in adult education including education program planning, development,
delivery, and evaluation
- Proficiency in using Ontario Telemedicine Network virtual consult system
- Well‑developed leadership, communication, teambuilding, negotiating and conflict management skills in order to
influence change and establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, patients, families, inter‑professional
team, and community hospitals and agencies
- Demonstrated program planning, implementation, and evaluation skills
- Experience with identifying, disseminating, and implementing evidence‑informed practice policies and care
practices for the critical care population

Salary Range: $47.128 to 55.443
