Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Nurse to join our team at PHSA. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the coordination and implementation of clinical trials, providing nursing care and education to patients, and contributing to the advancement of cancer research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement clinical trials, ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulations.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and education to patients participating in clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement research protocols.
  • Conduct research studies, collect and analyze data, and present findings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, researchers, and patients to advance cancer research.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and clinical trials, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two (2) years of recent related clinical nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certification in oncology nursing is required (or must obtain certification within one year of employment).
  • Relevant clinical research knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative research projects.
  • Knowledge of research process and methodology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
