Job Summary

The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited is seeking a skilled Human Resources Advisor to provide expert HR services for a 12-18 month contract period. As a key member of the HR team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR programs, policies, and procedures to support the efficient operation of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day HR support, including recruitment, onboarding, leave management, and employee recognition programs.
  • Participate in the delivery of new employee orientation and build effective working relationships with employees and people leaders.
  • Assist in union management meetings, grievance response, and disciplinary actions.
  • Administer and monitor occupational and non-occupational injuries, illnesses, accidents, and leaves.
  • Take independent action to triage requests and determine the course of action.
  • Maintain accuracy of the Human Resources Management System (HRMS).
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' related experience in HR.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as an advisor, influence outcomes, and build relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate business requirements and adapt services to meet the needs of the corporation.
  • Sound knowledge and broad understanding of employment laws and legislations, of Human Resources challenges and trends.
  • Efficient problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) to act as a professional and inquisitive liaison.
  • Proven ability to work within a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality with access to sensitive information.
  • Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain reliability security clearance.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
