Nurse Care Specialist

As a key member of our team at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in various units and sites across the region.
Job SummaryWe are hiring RNs and RPNs into a variety of roles, including Acute Care for Elders (ACE), Acute Medicine, Cardiac Care, and more. As a Registered Nurse/RPN, you will provide nursing care to assigned clients, work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family, and consult with other health care providers. You will also be responsible for maintaining and advancing your own clinical competence, participating on designated hospital committees/teams, and approved research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to clients, both individually and as part of a team
- Consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain and advance your own clinical knowledge and skills
- Participate in hospital committees and research projects as assigned
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized program in Nursing
- Current (or eligibility for) Provisional or Practising registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement care plans, assess client responses, and adjust to unexpected events
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including MSP, extended health and dental, and municipal pension plan, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
