About the RoleThis part-time position requires 24 hours of work per week, with guaranteed shifts on Fridays and weekends. You will be responsible for assisting clients in maintaining a safe environment, adhering to strict protocols, and ensuring their needs are met.
Responsibilities- Meet safety standards by utilizing equipment correctly and efficiently
- Function within the limits of the PD assist program and practice safely and competently
- Assist with cycler setup, dismantle, and programming
- Conduct daily weight assessments and blood pressure checks
- Add Heparin to dialysate as required
- Document therapy numbers and visit notes electronically
- Communicate effectively with the Care Services Center regarding scheduling inquiries and updates
- Engage in open communication with Care Designers to elevate client experiences and care
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for local travel
- Be willing to service the Vancouver and Richmond area (mileage paid)
- Have at least two years of homecare experience
- Undergo a Background or Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (every five years)
- Provide a Negative TB test result (every five years)
This part-time position comes with a competitive hourly rate of $23.00 and flexible scheduling. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and supporting the well-being of our clients.
