We have a mission to help seniors continue doing what they love most, and we're seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our clients in the Vancouver and Richmond area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet safety standards, utilizing equipment safely and accurately
- Function within the limits of the PD assist program, practicing safely and competently
- Assist with cycler setup, dismantle, and programming
- Assist with daily weight assessments and daily blood pressure assessments
- Assist with adding Heparin to dialysate
- Document therapy numbers and visit notes electronically
- Communicate effectively with the Care Services Center team regarding scheduling inquiries and updates
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required for local travel
- Servicing the Vancouver and Richmond area (mileage paid)
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach freely
- Able to freely lift 20 kilograms
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to client care
- Minimum 2 years homecare experience
- Background or Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (updated every 5 years)
- Negative TB test (updated every 5 years)
Job Details:
- Part-time position
- $23.00 per hour
- Flexible language requirement
- Day shift, weekend shifts guaranteed
- BC Driver's license and car required
