Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Logistics Coordinator to join our team at World Wide ASG Logistics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Logistics Plans: Create and execute logistics plans to prioritize and organize tasks, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials.
  • Coordinate Transportation Operations: Manage the coordination of transportation activities, including dispatching personnel, scheduling assignments, and tracking shipments.
  • Monitor and Control Inventory: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and ensure that inventory is properly stored and managed.
  • Manage Warehouse Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train a team of dispatchers, radio operators, and transportation route and crew schedulers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage Computer and Technology Systems: Operate and maintain computer and technology systems, including dispatch management software, monitoring and tracking software, and electronic scheduling systems.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all transportation operations are in compliance with relevant regulations, including cross-border dispatching regulations and highway trucking rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Urban area, transportation, freight forwarding, warehouse, and head office.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, physically demanding, repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, accurate, values and ethics, initiative, judgement, analytical, proactive.
