Job Title: Clinical Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Therapist to join our team at Kinark Child and Family Services. As a Clinical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop treatment plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, focusing on their occupational therapy needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to children and their families.
  • Utilize current outcome measures, such as The Sensory Profile 2, Peabody Developmental Motor Skills, and the McMaster Handwriting Assessment, to evaluate and monitor progress.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in occupational therapy, particularly in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Canadian Occupational Therapy Program or successful completion of Canadian OT certification exam process.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
  • Membership in Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists is an asset.
  • Minimum of one year work experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on pediatric clientele and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening).
