Closing the Gap Healthcare Group is a leading provider of home and community-based healthcare services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to work with our School-Based Rehabilitation Program (SBRS) in the South Simcoe County Community. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will work with complex pediatric clients, assessing and building client-centered therapy care plans based on their developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a Tiered Model school-based rehabilitation program, assessing and building client-centered therapy care plans based on students' developmental needs.
  • Provide care to complex pediatric clients within their homes and schools, building therapy care plans and recommending equipment based on their developmental, safety, and functional needs.
  • Facilitate partnerships between families, schools, and local healthcare systems to ensure clients can attend school, participate in activities, and engage successfully with the curriculum.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current active registration and good standing as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in pediatric care is preferred.
  • ADP Authorizer or willingness to be trained is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
