Franchise Banking Specialist

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Franchise Banking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Business Banking team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with franchise business owners, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the franchise industry, including market trends and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with franchise business owners, Centres of Influence, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including acquiring new franchising customers and growing existing relationships.
  • Provide expert advice on financial solutions, including business banking products and services.
  • Work closely with the ACE and EO Franchising team to process deals and ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business law, or economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the field of franchising, including educational or working experience.
  • Knowledge of business products and services, including selling approach, selling tools, and calculators.
  • Expert knowledge of the marketplace and proven expertise in the franchising segment.
  • Working knowledge of applicable software and technology platforms for Business Banking.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will spend 90% of their time away from an office environment, working with the Sales team in Branches or with customers/prospect facilities, travelling to conduct marketing activities and other customer interviews, trade shows, COI events, etc.
