Behavioral Health Program Coordinator

As a key member of the Continuing Care Behavioral Health team at Nova Scotia Health, the Challenging Behavior Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating the implementation of the Behavioral Health Program. This program aims to enhance the capacity of continuing care providers to deliver high-quality care to older adults with complex cognitive and mental health needs. The successful candidate will provide leadership and collaboration to promote the coordination and integration of services, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in a regulated healthcare profession. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in their field, with a strong focus on working with clients with responsive behavior in the Continuing Care sector, geriatrics, mental health, and/or ABI populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals and para-professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the implementation of the Behavioral Health Program
- Provide leadership and collaboration to promote the coordination and integration of services
- Work with clients with responsive behavior in the Continuing Care sector, geriatrics, mental health, and/or ABI populations
- Develop and deliver education programs and facilitate knowledge transfer with both individuals and teams
- Collaborate with other professionals and para-professionals to achieve program goals
- Completion of a university degree in a regulated healthcare profession
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a healthcare profession
- Strong background in working with clients with responsive behavior
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Nova Scotia Health offers a competitive salary range of $36.45 - $44.31 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
