About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Engineering team, reporting to the Manager, Engineering. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into automated test cases
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools to streamline the testing process and enhance overall efficiency
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting potential solutions
  • Continuously improve test coverage, test methodologies, and automation infrastructure to enhance overall test effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior QA team members, promoting best practices and ensuring a high level of code quality
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance
Requirements
  • 3+ years of proven work experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, with a focus on automated testing and test frameworks
  • Strong understanding of the quality process in an Agile culture
  • Proven experience using tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Appium, or Selenium
  • Experience with Jenkins and/or other build tools to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of external cloud testing solutions such as AWS Device Farm or BrowserStack
  • Experience writing BDD scenarios using Cucumber/Serenity/another BDD tool
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA
  • Thrives in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
