Casualty Claims Specialist

AIG is redefining the way we help customers navigate risk. As a Casualty Claims Analyst II, you will play a pivotal role in this transformation, growing your skills and experience as a valued member of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Review casualty claims in conjunction with policy wordings to determine coverage and ensure compliance with our litigation guidelines.
- Provide direction to adjusters on investigation of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Prepare disclaimer and/or reservation of rights letters and communicate with underwriters, brokers, and insureds as necessary.
- Negotiate settlements directly where possible and operate within our best practices guidelines.
- Inform management of all complaints, large losses, coverage issues, and other relevant matters.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling commercial casualty claims.
- College/University or equivalent industry experience.
- Ability to make decisions and give directions to adjusters and/or counsel.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills to navigate our paperless claim file system.
