We are seeking a skilled HR professional to join our team in Halifax, supporting the growth and development of our dynamic HR department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support employees and managers with HR-related queries and concerns
- Conduct performance management tasks, ensuring fairness and consistency
- Investigate incidents and ensure compliance with HR policies and laws
- Collaborate with the Safety team to develop and implement accommodation plans
- Participate in recruitment efforts, especially during peak periods
- Stay informed about the latest HR trends and best practices
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Generalist HR role
- Proven knowledge of HR principles and Canadian labor laws
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
