Performance Auto Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records.
  • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables and ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
  • Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment and practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner.
  • Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures and assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment.
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence necessary for files and obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments.
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors.
  • Ensure invoices are coded correctly and post in the period the transaction occurred.

Requirements

  • Basic accounting knowledge and accounts payable experience.
  • 1 year accounts payable accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with the CDK program is considered an asset.
  • Good numeracy skills, and sound analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Good problem-solving and computer skills.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Time management and leadership skills.
  • Trustworthy, respectful, and able to demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
