Van Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Van Assembly Technician to join our team at Woodfield Canada, a leading provider of commercial vehicle accessories and work vehicle modifications. As a key member of our assembly team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.
About the Role
This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $17.50-$26.00, offering 40-50 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including assembling custom work van equipment and accessories, modifying products as per work orders, preparing products for installation technicians, and shipping out products as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products according to work orders, which may include shelving, drawer cabinets, and other custom components.
- Perform custom modifications to products as required by work orders.
- Prepare products for installation technicians, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Ship out products as needed, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- Punctuality and reliability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Comfortable working with power tools and mechanical equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift heavy items (in excess of 70 lbs).
- Ability to stand for long periods and maintain focus throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Hands-on work experience, preferably in a related field (2 years preferred).
