**Position: Counter Service Technician**

**Summary of the Role**

This position is typically responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based and includes counter sales and service, assembling and manufacturing hose assemblies and kits and maintain inventory in an orderly fashion.

**Responsibilities**
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
- Provides technical assistance, support, and customer sales and service activities on front line (counter);
- Responsible to update sales order and inventory module within P21 (inventory control system)
- Assembles products to company, customer, and manufacturer’s standards.
- Operates mechanical equipment, hand tools, forklifts and picking lifts.
- Assembling hydraulic hose/industrial and tube assemblies for line 5
- Assemble hydraulic/ Industrial hose assemblies and tube assemblies for counter sales.
- Make recommendations to supervisor/manager with respect to product and process improvements.
- Assists with physical inventory when assigned.
- May deliver products or visit customer sites.
- General maintenance activities as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills; works well within a team environment.
- Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.

**Qualifications**
- 1-2 years of warehousing or production experience in an industrial setting is preferred;
- A high school diploma or equivalent
