Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and motivate a team of food service staff, including food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants, and food preparers.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Plan and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverages meet our high quality standards, and that our customers receive exceptional service.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure that our team is adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
- Accessibility: Provide physical, visual, and auditory accessibility accommodations to ensure that all customers can access our services.
- Disability Support: Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Participate in programs that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees, and provide mentorship and coaching opportunities to help them succeed.
- Youth Support: Participate in programs that support youth employment, and provide on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities to help them develop their skills.
- Veteran Support: Participate in programs that support veterans, and provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to help them transition into the civilian workforce.
- Indigenous Support: Develop relationships with indigenous communities and provide cultural competency training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Mature Worker Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, and provide phased retirement options to allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
- Visible Minority Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against visible minorities, and provide mentorship programs to pair them with experienced employees.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Language: English.
