Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Secretary to provide support for the Department of Internal Medicine.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support, including typing correspondence, establishing office systems, and coordinating meetings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent planning, organizational, project, and time management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel and outside agencies.

Responsibilities
  1. Typing various correspondence, including medico-legal letters, grants, manuscripts, and abstracts.
  2. Establishing and maintaining office systems, including electronic and paper-based files.
  3. Coordinating and organizing meetings, using Microsoft Outlook to schedule appointments and events.
  4. Providing administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and performing general administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a formal post-secondary administrative assistant program.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a university environment, with knowledge of university policies and procedures.
  • Medical Terminology (75% pass mark).
  • Preferrable: Competence in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
