Community Engagement Specialist for Infrastructure Development

The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for developing public information materials, engaging stakeholders, and contributing to the success of the Elevated Guideway Project in Ontario. This role requires excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as knowledge of traditional and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather facts and information about the project to contribute to communications plans and materials in various formats.
- Draft and implement plans for communication, community engagement, and community benefits as assigned by the Communications Lead.
- Develop and write compelling content for social media channels, the Project Website, internal and external newsletters, and other audiences.
- Support special events to mark and celebrate Project milestones.
- Maintain a positive, flexible, and responsive attitude, professional image, and team-oriented style.
- Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism.
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, including experience on infrastructure projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
