Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our Database services in Canada and enabling new capabilities for our customers.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in database design, implementation, and consulting. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses.

As a Senior Database Specialist, you will work closely with our customers to map data and AI services to deliver on their business objectives and outcomes. You will use your business savvy and excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop targeted sales plays and enablement programs to help field teams capture and progress opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for AWS Database services
  • Partner with industry teams to identify workloads that impact our database services
  • Collaborate with field and central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to aligned GTM teams to unblock customer business challenges

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in database design, implementation, and consulting
  • 7+ years of management experience of technical, customer-facing resources
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
