We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vocational Nurse Specialist to join our team at Staff on Call in Duncan, British Columbia.

About the Role

This is a casual position offering flexibility and variety as you work with our elderly residents. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and make a real difference in people's lives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong background in dementia care.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $45.00 per hour, plus travel allowance, weekly allowance, and accommodation. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we also offer flexible scheduling, on-site parking, paid time off, and relocation assistance.

Job Description

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing personalized care plans for residents
  • Providing direct care to residents, including administering medications and performing various nursing tasks
  • Supervising care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are met
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong background in dementia care (preferably)
