Job Summary

The Regional Department Head will serve as the primary point of contact for the Regional Department at the Facility, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between the Department and the Facility's operations. This role will be responsible for coordinating the Department's activities, promoting health and wellness among Members, and investigating complaints regarding care provided by Members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Operations
    • Participate in the Site Operations Committee or equivalent to ensure alignment with Facility objectives and policies.
    • Coordinate the Department's activities within the Facility, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with other departments.
  • Department Liaison
    • Function as the channel of communication between the Regional Department and the Facility, keeping Members informed about Departmental objectives, policies, and activities.
    • Ensure the Regional Department is aware of issues specific to the Facility.
  • Health and Wellness
    • Promote health and wellness among Members, including encouraging a healthy and respectful workplace.
    • Investigate and document complaints regarding care provided by Members, under the direction of the Regional Department Head and/or Site Medical Director.
  • Human Resources
    • Review human resource requirements with the Regional Department Head to ensure alignment with Departmental needs.
    • Contribute to the search and selection of applicants for vacancies in the Regional Department.
  • Morbidity and Mortality Reviews
    • Conduct morbidity and mortality reviews to ensure high-quality care and identify areas for improvement.
