Job Summary

The Senior Bodily Injury Examiner is a key role within the OTIP Group of Companies, responsible for investigating, quantifying, and settling complex property and casualty claims. This position requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyze complex claims, identifying potential liabilities and quantifying damages.
  • Develop and implement effective claims strategies, working closely with insured members, experts, and vendors to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage competing priorities, including project management and file handling, to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution.
  • Represent stakeholders in a professional manner, communicating effectively with internal and external parties to resolve claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education and/or college diploma in a related field.
  • CIP designation and ability to hold an adjuster's license.
  • 7-10 years of experience in casualty claims handling, including litigation file management.
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including medical rehabilitation concepts and case law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
