About the Role

The Senior Bodily Injury Examiner is a key member of our claims team, responsible for investigating, quantifying, and settling complex property and casualty claims. This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze complex claims to determine liability and quantum
  • Develop and implement effective claims strategies to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters and brokers, to ensure seamless claims handling
  • Communicate with insured members and other external parties to resolve claims
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as insurance or business
  • 7-10 years of experience in casualty claims handling, including litigation file management
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including coverage and liability
  • Excellent investigation and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
