Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and safety of our radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation.
You will work closely with our team to adapt procedures, perform complex computer manipulations, and provide high-quality patient care. On a rotating basis, you will be required to perform on-call/emergency procedures outside of regular department hours. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to maintaining and expanding their skills in nuclear medicine.
About YouWe are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- CAMRT certification and NSCMIRTP licensure
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Ability to adapt to changes and unusual circumstances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

HoursThis is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $34.24 - $39.96. They may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
