Job Summary

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Bedford. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Manager in all accounts payable related functions, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing and month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for the completion of accounts payable transactions and processes.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach the accounts payable team.
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager in identifying and implementing process improvements in the procure-to-pay process.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Accounting team to find synergies in transaction processing and support the strategic initiatives of the company.
  • Ensure appropriate payment processes and procedures are followed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of invoice processing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees and vendors.
  • Review month-end GL to sub-ledger reconciliations prepared by staff.
  • Coordinate and support audit requests related to accounts payable.
  • Investigate and resolve vendor escalations.
  • Issue and utilize regular reporting on KPIs for the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in accounts payable or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and project management.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • SAP user knowledge is an asset.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written.
